Terms of Service
Last updated: 12 August 2026
ZenithNord supplies three quite different things — installation, servicing, and maintenance contracts — and each is governed by its own terms. This page tells you which applies to you, and sets out the terms that apply to everything.
1. Which terms apply to you
- Installation and design work. Governed by the ZenithNord Terms & Conditions issued to you with your written proposal. They form part of that proposal and become binding when you sign it. They cover quotations, deposits and payment stages, surveys and preparatory work, permissions, unexpected work, commissioning and handover, Building Regulations notification, your cancellation rights and our workmanship guarantee. If you have not yet received a copy, ask us and we will send one before you commit to anything.
- Battery retrofit to an existing array. Covered by the same installation terms, with the additional condition that we are not responsible for the condition, performance or certification of equipment installed by others.
- [James: ArcticNord’s servicing and care-plan clauses were removed here — they have no ZenithNord equivalent yet. If ZenithNord will offer a monitoring or maintenance plan, its terms belong in this list.]
Where a signed contract or a published set of terms covers your work, those terms take precedence over this page.
2. Prices and VAT
- We do not publish prices on this page, so that they can never fall out of step with the terms that actually govern your work. System prices are confirmed in the written proposal issued after survey. Installation is quoted individually.
- VAT is charged at the standard rate of 20%. Where a price is shown “+ VAT”, VAT is added on top. Where you buy online, the price shown at the payment page is the VAT-inclusive total.
- Quotations assume safe, reasonable access to the equipment. Where additional work, parts, access equipment or additional materials are needed, we will tell you the cost and get your agreement before we do it.
- Commercial, VRV/VRF, refrigeration and chiller systems are quoted individually.
3. Access, permissions and appointments
- You agree to provide safe access to the equipment at the agreed time, and to make us aware of any known faults or hazards.
- Any planning permission or other consent needed for the work is your responsibility to obtain, and at your cost. That includes planning permission, listed building consent, conservation area consent, and any landlord, freeholder or management company approval.
- Please give us at least 48 hours’ notice to change or cancel an appointment. Missed appointments, or cancellations with less notice than that, may be charged — the amount is set out in the terms that govern your work.
4. Our work
- All work is carried out with reasonable care and skill, by suitably qualified and MCS-certified engineers, and in accordance with the Fluorinated Greenhouse Gases Regulations.
- Guarantees on our workmanship, and the manufacturer warranties that come with equipment and parts, are set out in the terms that govern your work.
- Most manufacturers require documented annual servicing for their warranty to remain valid. That is your responsibility to arrange, whether or not you hold a care plan with us.
5. Liability
We maintain appropriate insurance. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Nothing on this page affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
6. Privacy
How we handle your personal information is set out in our privacy policy.
7. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
